Force’s museums: sacred art and handcrafted tradition

The Museo del Rame in Force is housed in Palazzo Canestrari and the former church of San Biagio.The latter, which can also be used as a multimedia theatre or conference venue if required, offers the chance to consult documentation, educational material and information on copper-working. It features a display of the most characteristic copper artefacts.

Palazzo Canestrari houses an educational workshop that allows visitors to gain first-hand experience of copper-working techniques.Its beautiful underground rooms house an exhibition of the most typical artisanal copper-working items, conveying the fine quality of the craftsmanship and the sophisticated techniques.

The Museo di Arte Sacra in Force is housed in Palazzo Canestrari and exhibits prestigious works from nearby churches, including a 12th-century wooden crucifix from the church of San Taddeo.
